Bend & Stretch

Unblock, Restore and Let Go

Yoga seeks to create balance—a state of presence where we can effectively resolve mental conflicts. But how often do we truly achieve this equilibrium in our daily lives, navigating personal, professional, and spiritual challenges?

Achieving this requires a contemplative approach—one where we set aside our analytical, “thinking” mind and access a deeper, more transcendental state. Through immersive asana practice, we can quiet the noise and reconnect with our intuitive selves.

Bend and Stretch Yoga is a gentle yet effective practice designed to enhance flexibility, release tension, and improve mobility. This class combines deep stretching with mindful movement, making it accessible to all levels. Inspired by Yin Yoga, it involves holding postures for extended durations but can also be adapted to shorter deep-stretch holds.

The session is customizable, with postures held for 2–5 minutes in a Yin-style approach or for 5–10 deep breaths in a more active stretching format. A key focus is deep tissue and fascia release, allowing for gradual muscle lengthening and improved joint mobility. Unlike the dynamic nature of Vinyasa, this practice encourages stillness and passive stretching, making it both restorative and effective.

Breath awareness is central to the practice, incorporating deep breathing techniques that help relax the body, quiet the mind, and release emotional tension. Ultimately, Bend and Stretch Yoga is more than just a flexibility practice—it is a pathway to stillness, mindfulness, and inner balance.
